One point is given per every year; however, after 5 years of service, two points may be given for every extra year of work.
Active surrogacy matches to staff ratio
1 – 5 matches: one staff is given five points;
6 – 10 matches: one staff is given three points;
11 matches and more: one staff is given one point.
The following specialists available on staff
Psychologist, psychiatrist or MSW on staff – a surrogacy agency receives 12 points;
Physician on staff - a surrogacy agency receives 12 points;
Physician’s assistant or obstetrician nurse on staff – a surrogacy agency receives 5 points;
Lawyer on staff – a surrogacy agency receives 5 points;
Experienced Surrogate Mother or Intended Parent on staff – a surrogacy agency receives 3 points;
24/7 staff available via phone – a surrogacy agency receives 4 points;
Length of time between application and introduction between Surrogate Mother and the couple of the Intended Parents – a surrogacy agency receives:
3 months=5 points
2 months=3 points
1 month=1 point
less than 1 month = -10 points
Surrogate Mothers screened before introduced to potential matches – a surrogacy agency receives 5 points;
Intended Parents CORI checked – a surrogacy agency receives 10 points;
Surrogate Mother and her Husband / male partner CORI checked –a surrogacy agency receives 10 points;
If the surrogacy agency collaborates only with financially secure Surrogate Mothers – a surrogacy agency receives 10 points;
ALL available Surrogate Mothers have already delivered at least one live healthy baby – a surrogacy agency receives 20 points;
Percent of applicant Surrogate Mothers accepted into program:
5% and less – a surrogacy agency receives 8 points;
6%-10% - a surrogacy agency receives 6 points;
11%-20% - a surrogacy agency receives 3 points;
21%-30% - a surrogacy agency receives 1 point;
31%-50% - such surrogacy agency should receive minus 5 points;
51% or greater – in this case a surrogacy agency may receive minus 20 points.
In case if Surrogate Mothers and the Intended Parents meet with the surrogacy agency staff in person before they are introduced to any potential matches, then a surrogacy agency receives 5 points.
The surrogacy agency has liability insurance – it may receive 10 points.
The surrogacy agency has been in litigation within last five years – an agency receives minus 20 points.
Successful deliveries and successful placements – an agency receives one point per every successful delivery and placement.
In case if the surrogacy agency provides all necessary post delivery support of the Surrogate Mother and of the Intended Parents – an agency receives 5 points.
