Florida law clearly allows both gestational and traditional surrogacy agreements, but they are prohibited to unmarried same-sex couples.

Georgia
There were no cases in law of Colorado either reported or published dealing with the problem of surrogacy.

Hawaii
There were no cases in law of Colorado either reported or published dealing with the problem of surrogacy.

Idaho

The law of Idaho does not deal with any kinds of surrogacy agreements, but case law states that such contracts may be possible in the state.

Illinois
Illinois law allows gestational surrogacy but does not deal with traditional surrogacy.

Indiana

The law of Indiana prohibits surrogacy contracts and rules them against public policy.

Iowa

Iowa has no laws specifically dealing with the possibility of surrogacy agreements. The state law bans the purchase or sale of an individual bit it is not applied to surrogate arrangements.

Kansas

Kansas has no laws specifically dealing with any kinds of surrogacy agreements, but two attorney general opinions state that surrogate agreements are possible in the state.

Kentucky

There are no laws specifically dealing with any kinds of surrogacy agreements in Kentucky, but an attorney general opinion and case law state free of charge agreements may be possible. Also there was a case in Kentucky law when some same-sex couples have successfully parented through surrogacy agreements.

Louisiana

The status of traditional surrogacy contract in Louisiana is unclear, and this law does not address uncompensated agreements as well as gestational surrogacy agreements.

Maine

There were no cases in law of Maine either reported or published dealing with the problem of surrogacy.
