Traditional or Gestational Surrogate?
traditional_gestationalIf a woman decides to become a Surrogate Mother, the next thing she is to do is to choose which two surrogacy types should be preferred. The following steps will help her to do it, and they are useful to be taken into consideration before signing any surrogacy contract.
Here are some helpful instructions:

Step # 1
It is necessary to get all available information about both surrogacy types. A woman should be aware, that in case of traditional surrogacy agreement, her won egg and the sperm of the Intended Father or of the Sperm Donor is used, which means, that the baby / babies are the Surrogate Mother’s from the point of view of biological connection. Therefore, if a woman signs a traditional surrogacy agreement, then the fertilized egg of either the Intended Mother of an Egg Donor will be implanted into her uterus for further development and gestation. In this case she will simply carry the baby / babies.

Step # 2
A woman should decide whether she will be able to part with a baby, she has been carried under her heart for long nine months. It is necessary to keep in mind, that with traditional surrogacy, it was HER egg fertilized, so, the baby is her own. It should be pointed out, though, that this is one of the major reasons why most women choose to become Gestational Surrogate Mothers.

Step # 3
Any potential Surrogate Mother, is to find the answer on the question whether she will be able to endure the In Vitro Fertilization procedure for a gestational surrogacy. It should be kept in mind that during the IVF an embryo gets implanted into the Surrogate Mother’s uterus. In addition, a future Surrogate Mother is also to undergo several series of hormonal treatment orally, as well as through injections. It is possible that gestational surrogacy may be easier for a woman for the point of view of emotions; however, the physical demands are much greater, than in traditional surrogacy. It is also possible that a woman may be asked to repeat the In Vitro Fertilization procedure, in case if she does not get pregnant from the first attempt.

Step # 4
Any woman, who desires to become a Surrogate Mother, should educate herself on al laws within her state of her country, traditional or gestational Surrogate mother, and she will also find out how these laws influence the Intended Parents.
